I have exciting news to share. Starting in January I will be the sketch designer for a brand new scrapbook blog! It’s called Sketches with a Twist, and when I saw that their design team call included the need for a sketch designer, I had to apply for it.

I design for Sketches with a Twist

If you’ve read my blog for any time at all, you know my love for scrap sketches. I don’t create a layout without one. But I don’t always use other peoples’ sketches; sometimes I like to create my own. In fact, when I told my sweet husband about the SWAT sketch designer call he said, “You’re already a sketch artist, so you should definitely apply for that position!” He’s very supportive. 🙂

Here’s a look at the new design team:

  • Aki linuma
  • Danie May
  • Kirsten Michelsen
  • Laurie LaRiviere
  • Lisa Brooks
  • Lizzie Crust
  • Raechelle Bellus

The first sketch, with design team examples, goes live on January 1, 2012. Of course, I will be pointing to their blog on the first of each month to remind you when each new sketch is revealed so you can grab it and play along. In the meantime, I’d better get sketching!

Congrats on making the SWAT team Janice!! Your sketch for January was so fun, I finished it today and already sent it in to SWAT…yes I am a geek, but had a sleeping toddler so took advantage of the time and just did it…I am so excited to be working with everyone on the team and can’t wait to see all the creations in the next six months! Have a wonderful holiday with your family 🙂

Thanks, Susan! Yeah, I’m really enjoying it. I’ve submitted my February sketch to the design team and am working on more. It’s tons of fun. 🙂 Happy new year, BTW. When do you want to get together to scrap our hearts out this month? Any time open?
