I live far from my dear mother, so because I can’t be with her today I spent a chunk of the day working on this layout about her love for me (and later my baby bro). I was about seven months old in this summer-of-1967 photo, which makes my mom 27 in it. Mom is wearing a swimsuit, so it seems we’ve been bathing beauties together and are taking a break to stay hydrated.
My father took this shot and then wrote on the back of it, “my women.” I just love that.
Like the luckiest of us, I believe that my mom is the best. She was made to be a mother; she loved it and excelled at it. God bless you, Mommy, and happy Mother’s Day from a grateful daughter.
Product/technique notes
I used the following sketch from Creative Scrappers to make my page. And the products I used mostly came from My Mind’s Eye “The Sweetest Thing” collection, with a little MME “Six by Six: Honey Cake” and one piece of Crate Paper “On Trend.” I designed and cut the title with my Silhouette Cameo. The sticker and enamel dots are from MME “Collectable,” and the flair badge is from Panda Eight.
