Move-in day

We got married in October 1997 and bought our first home in August 1998. At the very same time, Mom and Dad decided to move to a different neighborhood within the same town. We ended up buying our houses within a mile of each other, and I think we even moved in within the same week. What an exciting and tiring time!

In this photo, Matt’s older brother, Tom, is helping us unload more stuff at our new house. My brother, Phil, was also helping and probably took this shot.

Product/technique notes

I followed the Creative Scrappers sketch below and used patterned papers from Pink Paislee’s Hometown Summer 6×6 pack and October Afternoon’s Campire 8×8 pad. They’re both older collections, and I love how well they worked together. I created the background grid of pinked-edged circles and cut it on my Silhouette.

Love all the elements – especially those little house cut files in the circles! Sounds like it was a tiring time. So glad you joined us with the August sketch for Creative Scrappers!
