Sending owl my love card by Janice Daquila-Pardo

The story

I created this card for my hubby for our 23rd anniversary. I chose the owl theme because this summer we had the joy of being visited repeatedly by a family of six owls in our back yard. They were gorgeous and just so fun to watch and photograph.

Product/technique notes

I blended Distress Inks in five colors (aged mahogany, spiced marmalade, fossilized amber, peeled paint, and speckled egg) on the background and then laid down a second layer of each ink through the Hero Arts rain dance pattern stencil to create the look of leaves. The owls are from My Favorite Things, and I stamped and colored them with Copic markers. I’m entering this in the clean & simple challenge at A Blog Named Hero.
