Hello fancy floral print card

October 19, 2023 By Janice Daquila-Pardo Leave a Comment

The story

I created this card as part of the Celebrate World Card Making Day with Pinkfresh Studio “Anything Goes” challenge.

Product/technique notes

I stenciled this background design using the Pinkfresh Studio “Fancy Floral Print” set and Distress Inks. Then I used a rectangle die to cut out a portion of the design in the bottom right corner, backed that with a matching yellow scalloped rectangle, and set it aside. To add an all-over handwriting element to the card, I used a Hero Arts background stamp and grey ink. I popped up the focal element, added the sentiment made with a combination of stamps and dies, and embellished with a few purple sequins.

The story

I created this card as part of the Celebrate World Card Making Day with Pinkfresh Studio “Anything Goes” challenge.

Product/technique notes

I stamped, stenciled, and die cut the Pinkfresh Studio “Sunflowers Washi” stamps. After ink blending the background with the same green Distress Inks, I embossed it with the Simon Says Stamp “Margot Tile” embossing folder (love). Then I used a sentiment from the sunflower set and embossed it with platinum embossing powder on the purple background card stock. It’s hard to tell, but I finished it off with a bit of Stickles on the berries.

Sending hugs folk garden card

October 17, 2023 By Janice Daquila-Pardo Leave a Comment

The story

I created this card as part of the Celebrate World Card Making Day with Pinkfresh Studio “Anything Goes” challenge. My intention was to use autumnal colors with non-seasonal stamps to create a fall-adjacent card!

Product/technique notes

I stamped and die cut the Pinkfresh Studio “Folk Garden 2” stamps and used Copic markers to color all the images. Then I used the Hexagon Tiles coverplate die to decorate the purple background cardstock and adhered the images to it. I stared at it for a good long time, trying to decide whether to add more to the design, and finally decided to ink blend a scalloped frame cut with the Stitched Scalloped Rectangles die set. I finished the design with a sentiment from the Taylored Expressions “Daisy Dreams” stamp set.

Just a hello floral card by Janice

The story

I created this friendship card to enter into the Pinkfresh Studio August “sparkle and shine” challenge.

Product/technique notes

I stamped, stenciled, and die cut the main images using the Pinkfresh Studio “Just a hello floral” set and Distress Inks in the challenge colors. For the sparkle and shine elements, I heat embossed the sentiment in gold and added gold sequins.

Have a wonderful day card

The story

I’m entering this card in MFT color challenge 169 and will send it to a friend.

Product/technique notes

I blended salvaged patina Distress Oxide Ink with a stencil to create the cloud background. The subtle water image is a layer of peacock feathers Distress Oxide Ink topped with a Hero Arts waves stamp using more salvaged patina ink. The stamped images are from My Favorite Things, and I colored them with Copic markers.
